I wanted to experiment with creating logo design, and start to build up a separate portfolio, as to show possible clients in order to build experience whilst still in my student years. Inspired by 'A Tribe Called Quest' new album, I decided to go with a character that would represent band culture and the need to keep small independent music venues alive. Once drawn, I scanned it into Photoshop and digitally edited them to experiment with black and white variations, as I liked the aesthetic this gave.
I finally added in text, which I wanted to be hand drawn and not digital type in order mirror the culture around alternative band visual culture, such as punk aesthetic.
