Dealing With Stress

The first task in this session involved answering 4 questions:

Negative thought today?

  • Don't like the course
  • Don't have enough money to go away

What scares you?

  • Not having any ambitions for the future 
  • Uncertainty 
  • Letting people down
  • Not being good enough
  • Making the wrong decisions that impacts myself and others

What stresses you out?
  • Not knowing how to use the Adobe programs 
  • Juggling different tasks, being uncertain about what I should be doing at a moment.
  • Not being pleased with outcomes
  • Feeling like I'm miles behind everyone in the class


What do you do to de-stress?
  • Make a to do list
  • Go for a walk
  • Watch reality TV
  • Meditate

Realising everyone has the same fears definitely allows me to calm down and understand we are all in the same boat. These are normal problems to face starting a new class in a new city, with the pressures of fending for yourself at university. I need to understand I am here to learn all the things which cause me to feel behind, and that other people are just as intimidated of my work in some aspects as I am of theirs.
