Publication Cover

6B2, 6D2
I was tasked with designing a cover for a zine for a client in Berlin, on the pervasive topic of Brexit.

Correspondence with client:

Note: as the client was a friend, the language is colloquial. However, a key lesson that was taken from this interaction was to emphasise specific requirements as to save time. Initially the client said he was open to other layouts, however after sending over some alternate ideas, it was evident he was not. In the end the job became me simply applying his ideas to the design, which was fine, however the process could have been cut in half if this was established at the beginning.

Nonetheless, I did get paid for the work, and provided better ideas on how to print the final production. For example, the client initially asked for a blue background, but then said he was planning on printing on acetate. As such, I advised him to print just the black and yellow on acetate and have a blue coloured-stock behind.
