Intro to networking:

·      Like minds are interesting

·      Getting in touch with people associated around presentations / interactions you encounter

·      Who are you talking to?

–      social networking

–      Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat

–      other = telephone, letter, email – in person!

·      How? Look at other creative’s work – blogs, websites, presentations, conference, printed articles

·      We look at the networks we see as synergetic or inventive to inform, example and educate our practices

·      Never too late or too early to talk to professionals

·      What would stop you? Fear, laziness, empty excuses, too much work

·      In the communications industry – talk

·      Don’t be put off – all a matter of practice – work and physical interactions, tangible and intangible

·      Instigate – comment on what you see/ read – what people have created or written about

·      Opinions are free, valid as anyone, how you ask it and where

·      Share resources and information, it can be beneficial
